Precision Lung Consultants & Diagnostics now has a Certified Respiratory Educator (CRE) on staff. The CRE works as part of a comprehensive team to apply the latest best-practice standards to improve the health of patients diagnosed with chronic lung conditions such as Asthma or COPD. Care is provided through sharing of information, treatment options and mechanisms available to help patients manage their respiratory diseases. Our goal is to develop, implement, and revise customized self management plans to meet individual needs in collaboration with the patient, their family physician and other health care practitioners. The CRE can also assist patients to take the necessary steps towards smoking cessation.
The CRE will provide education on respiratory medication, including proper technique and many other key components of disease education and disease self-management.
